How the ECHO WORKS

Spatial Audio Engine: We don't just play sound; we place it. Using advanced HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Functions), our app simulates 3D sound. As you turn your head or walk toward an "Echo," the audio shifts and grows louder, mimicking how you hear in the real world.Proof of Presence (PoP): To protect the integrity of the network, we use a proprietary "Proof of Presence" protocol. This ensures that every memory is anchored by a real person at a real location, preventing digital "GPS spoofing."Permanent Storage: Your memories shouldn't depend on a single company. The Social Echo uses Arweave, a decentralized "permaweb," to ensure that once an Echo is anchored, it stays there for generations—even if our servers go offline.

Welcome to Echoes ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.2. Information We Collect
To provide and improve our App, we collect the following types of information:Personal Information: When you sign in using Apple or Google, we collect your email address, name (or codename), and a unique user ID to create and manage your account.Location Data (Foreground & Background): The App requires access to your device's precise location (GPS) to anchor audio echoes to the physical world and to show you nearby memories on the tactical map. We also collect background location data to notify you of nearby echoes and social interactions even when the App is closed or not in use.Microphone & Audio Data: The App requires microphone access to allow you to record audio echoes. Audio files are only recorded and uploaded to our secure servers when you explicitly choose to record and drop an echo.Camera & AR Data: We request camera access to project Augmented Reality (AR) elements (the Echo Orbs) into your physical environment. We do not record, store, or upload video feeds or images from your camera to our servers unless you explicitly choose to take and share a screenshot.User-Generated Content: Any audio files, comments (reverberations), and direct messages you submit are stored on our servers to provide the social features of the App.3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:To operate and maintain the App's core features (AR mapping, audio playback, social interaction).To trigger push notifications when you are near an echo or receive a message.To manage your account and secure your data.To enforce our community guidelines, allowing users to report inappropriate content or block other users.4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information only in the following situations:Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (like Supabase for database hosting and Google/Apple for authentication) that help us operate the App. These services have their own strict privacy policies.Public Display: Your chosen username, profile avatar, and the audio echoes/comments you explicitly drop in the world are visible to other users of the App.Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.5. Data Security
We use commercially acceptable security measures to protect your Personal Information. Your data and audio files are stored securely using encrypted cloud databases. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your data at any time. You can delete individual echoes directly within the App. You may delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the 'Settings' section of the "echoes" App.7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."9. Contact Us

To request the complete deletion of your Echoes account, including all your anchored memories, direct messages, and personal data, please send an email to "[email protected]" with the subject "Account Deletion". Please include your Echoes codename or the email address used for login. We will process your request and wipe your data from our servers within 7 days.

Welcome to Echoes ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or accessing the Echoes mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.2. User AccountsRegistration: You may access the App using third-party authentication services (Apple ID or Google Sign-In). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the App, or have parental/guardian consent if you are a minor.3. User-Generated Content (UGC)Your Content: You retain ownership of any audio files ("Echoes"), comments ("Reverberations"), and messages ("Whispers") that you create and upload to the App.License Grant: By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the App and providing the service to you and other users.Prohibited Content: You agree not to post content that is:Defamatory, obscene, or sexually explicit.Violates the intellectual property rights of others.Encourages violence or illegal acts.4. Prohibited Conduct
While using the App, you agree not to:Attempt to manipulate GPS data or deceive the App's location services ("spoofing").Scrape, crawl, or automate interactions with the App without our permission.Harass, stalk, or harm other users.Use the App for commercial spamming or unauthorized advertising.5. Moderation and ReportingWe provide in-app tools to "Flag" or "Report" content that violates these Terms.We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content at our sole discretion, particularly content that violates our community guidelines.We may suspend or terminate your account for repeated violations of these Terms.6. Limitation of LiabilityAs-Is Service: The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.Geographic Accuracy: Our App relies on GPS and sensor data, which may be inaccurate due to environmental or technical factors. We are not liable for any issues arising from reliance on location-based data.Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echoes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.7. Account Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated personal data permanently at any time directly within the App via Settings > Account & Security > Erase Account Data. Once initiated, this process is irreversible and all your Echoes and social connections will be removed from our servers.8. Updates to Terms

By downloading or using AstroLong ("the App") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are between you and The Social Echo, not Apple.2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the App.3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application EULA. Where these Terms and the Apple standard EULA conflict, the Apple standard EULA's minimum terms apply.4. Accounts
You sign in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time in the App (Account → Delete account).5. Free and Premium tiers
The free tier allows a limited number of exposures per week and displays ads. Premium is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks longer exposure times, ad-free use, and advanced features. Price: the price shown in the App at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings (App Store → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, reverse engineer it (except as permitted by law), disrupt its operation, or use it unlawfully. If community features are added, you agree not to upload unlawful, infringing, or objectionable content.7. Your content
You retain rights to photos you create. Photos are stored on your device; we do not claim ownership. If you share them, you are responsible for what you share.8. Intellectual property
The App, its name, and its content (excluding your photos) are owned by The Social Echo and protected by law.9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties. Astrophotography results depend on conditions (light pollution, device stability, weather) and are not guaranteed.10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Social Echo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account.12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.13. Changes

AstroLong ("we", "us") is a mobile application for long-exposure astrophotography. This policy explains what personal data we process and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable law.2. Data we collect
a) Account data (Sign in with Apple). When you sign in, we receive a unique Apple user identifier and, if you share them, your name and an email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address). We store these to create and manage your private account.b) Photos you capture. Photos are processed on your device and saved to your device's photo library. We do not upload your photos to our servers. If you use the Share feature, the photo is handed to the app you choose via the iOS share sheet — that app's own policy then applies.c) Usage data. To enforce free-tier limits (exposures per week) and manage your subscription status, we store a per-week capture counter and your premium status linked to your account.d) Advertising (free tier). The free version displays ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect device and advertising identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads. See Google's policies.e) Technical/diagnostic data. Minimal data needed to operate the app. We do not use third-party analytics.3. How we use your data
To provide and maintain the app and your account; enforce free-tier limits and manage premium subscriptions; serve ads in the free tier; comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Contract (providing the app/account, subscriptions); Consent (advertising identifiers, where required — manage tracking in iOS Settings); Legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse).5. Processors and third parties
Supabase (authentication and database); Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store, subscriptions); Google AdMob (advertising). We do not sell your personal data.6. International transfers
Some processors may store data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Our database region is Central EU (Frankfurt).7. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete the associated account, usage and subscription records within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing. You can also delete your account directly in the app (Account → Delete account). To exercise other rights, contact [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP).9. Children
AstroLong is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.10. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls via Supabase Row Level Security). No method is 100% secure.11. Changes
